Tangerine and the Melbourne Renegades are kicking off a new chapter in their partnership by celebrating the people who have been there through every high, low and unforgettable moment along the way: the fans.
As Tangerine takes on the role of Principal Partner of the Melbourne Renegades for the 2026/27 season, the two organisations are recognising the supporters whose passion and loyalty have helped shape the club across its first 15 seasons.
To mark the occasion, Foundation Members who have renewed for a 16th consecutive season were recognised for their loyalty and commitment, with Sid, the club's youngest Foundation Member, presented with a personalised 2026/27 Renegades jersey bearing his name.
For many supporters, being a Renegades fan is about far more than what happens on the field. It is about family traditions, friendships and shared experiences that bring people together year after year.
Tangerine COO Richard Branson said those shared moments are exactly why the partnership continues to resonate with the team at Tangerine.
"We're incredibly proud to be Principal Partner of the Melbourne Renegades this season. For us, this partnership has always been about people, the players who put everything on the line, the fans who stick with their team and the wider community that comes together for cricket over summer.”
“Like we do for all our customers, we wanted to show up and play our role in bringing real value to recognise everyone in the Renegades community as the club heads into its 16th season."
The event featured current Renegades players and provided an opportunity for long-time supporters to share their personal stories and reflect on what the club means to them and their families.
Since launching in 2024, the partnership has delivered fan-focused competitions, community activations, player content, match-day experiences and digital campaigns designed to bring supporters closer to the game.
This latest chapter builds on that foundation, with a continued focus on recognising and rewarding the fans who make cricket one of Australia's most loved summer traditions.
Tangerine Chief Growth Officer Rick van Emmerik said becoming Principal Partner marked an exciting evolution of the partnership.
"Over the last two seasons we've worked alongside the Renegades to create content, competitions and experiences that bring supporters closer to the club they love.
Becoming Principal Partner marks an exciting next step in that journey and gives us the opportunity to do even more for members, supporters and the broader Renegades community.
We're looking forward to creating new ways to recognise loyal fans and helping make the season ahead even more rewarding."
Melbourne Renegades General Manager Max Abbott said Tangerine’s decision to elevate its partnership is a powerful show of support for an exciting season ahead.
“This season is all about backing in our players and fans to come together and achieve something special and we’re delighted to have an Australian brand like Tangerine support us on that journey,” Abbott said.
“Tangerine continue to support the Renegades and keep fans connected, and that means a lot. Their commitment sends a really positive message to our players and fans: we’re here, we’re backing you, and we’re ready for the season ahead.”
Throughout the upcoming season, Tangerine and the Renegades will continue to create opportunities for fans to connect with the club through exclusive content, competitions, experiences and community initiatives.
As another summer of Big Bash cricket approaches, the partnership will continue to celebrate what sits at the heart of the game: the connections between clubs, communities, friends and families.
