Do I need to do anything as a Tangerine mobile customer?

You do not need to register anything yourself. The registration process is for businesses and organisations that send SMS with branded Sender IDs. However, from 1 July 2026 you should be more careful with any message that appears as ‘Unverified’. If an unverified message asks you to click a link, log in, or provide personal or banking details, it is safer to ignore or delete the message; and contact the organisation using the phone number or website you normally use, not the details in the SMS.
